AIMS - Resume Builder

On Monday, March 3, 2014 Fairfax County will begin using a new online job application system and will phase out use of the AIMS Resume Builder system. The new system, which will be available through the county's jobs site is tailored for local and state governments and used by over 1,200 public sector organizations. It is connected with the nationally recognized website, governmentjobs.com.

Accounts can be created at GovernmentJobs.com in order to apply for Fairfax County jobs. Registration is free and simple. To use a current resume from the AIMS system, it will need to be saved in a word processing format, such as Microsoft Word, as usernames and resumes will not be migrated into the new system. Learn more about how to save your resume for future use.

Therefore, effective March 1, 2014 the AIMS system will ONLY be available:
  1. To check the status of any job applications submitted on or before Feb 28, 2014.
  2. To review, print, or copy your current AIMS resume to word processing format.
Remember, after Feb 28, 2014 you WILL NOT be able to create or modify your resume in AIMS, and AIMS will no longer be used to apply for jobs. If you have questions, please call HR Central, 703-324-3311.
Note: AIMS is best viewed using Internet Explorer. If you are using Internet Explorer 8 or newer please turn on Compatibility View. This can be done by clicking the Compatibility View button to the right of the address bar. Failure to use Internet Explorer and/or Compatibility View could result in intermittent problems.
